How to Install IPTV on Firestick
The Amazon Firestick is the most popular way to watch IPTV in the UK: it is cheap, quick and plugs into any TV with an HDMI port. This guide shows you how to install IPTV on a Firestick in about ten minutes.
What you need: a Firestick connected to Wi-Fi, your British IPTV Direct login details (from a subscription or a free trial) and ten minutes.
Step 1: Install the Downloader App
- From the Firestick home screen, select Find, then Search.
- Type Downloader and select it from the results.
- Choose Get or Download and wait for it to install.
Step 2: Allow Apps From Unknown Sources
- Go to Settings, then My Fire TV.
- Open Developer Options. If you cannot see it, open About and press the select button on your Fire TV Stick name seven times.
- Select Install Unknown Apps and switch it on for Downloader.
Step 3: Install the IPTV Player App
- Open Downloader.
- In the address box, enter the download code or link we send you on WhatsApp with your login details.
- Select Go, wait for the file to download, then choose Install.
- When it finishes, choose Done and delete the installer file to free up space.
Step 4: Enter Your Login Details
- Open the IPTV app from Your Apps & Channels.
- Choose to log in with Xtream Codes or a playlist (M3U), depending on what the app asks for.
- Type the username, password and server address exactly as we sent them.
- Wait for the channels and on-demand library to load. The first load can take a minute or two.
Step 5: Get the Best Picture
- Connect to the 5 GHz band of your router, or use an Ethernet adapter.
- Use the HDMI extender in the box so the stick is not hidden behind the TV.
- Restart the Firestick once a week: Settings › My Fire TV › Restart.
- If a channel freezes, clear the app cache: Settings › Applications › Manage Installed Applications.

Does IPTV work on every Firestick?
Yes. It works on the Fire TV Stick Lite, the standard Fire TV Stick, the 4K, the 4K Max and the Fire TV Cube. For 4K channels you need a 4K model and a 4K TV.
Why can I not find the IPTV app in the Amazon Appstore?
Many IPTV player apps are not listed in the Amazon Appstore, so they are installed with the free Downloader app instead. This is a standard feature of Fire OS.
How do I stop buffering on a Firestick?
Use 5 GHz Wi-Fi or an Ethernet adapter, keep the Firestick away from the back of the TV with the supplied extender, restart the stick and clear the cache of the IPTV app.
